This is a multi media piece commissioned as part of the Human(art)istic Festival at the Beursschouwburg Art Centre in Brussels from 18-21 March 2019, and was displayed in the centre’s café.
The subject is women’s anger as an essential ingredient to getting shit done. It started out as a digital drawing, which was printed and then layered with acrylic paint, a reference to the shape of today’s activism, where the organising might be digital, via social media, but the action is very much tangible, physical, the rage in the streets.
Dedicated to the women and girls behind movements like #Repeal, #NowForNI, #MeToo , #ClimateStrike and many, many more.
