Spéirbhean
Spéirbhean
The Spéirbhean is a constant of the genre of Aisling Poetry - the personification of lamentation and also a mirage within a vision within a dream. That small spark of hope that just might be an approaching sunrise, for any optimists out there.
Commissioned by the Irish Arts Center NYC for their Irish Word of the Week series, you can read the accompanying piece by the ever on-the-ball Darach Ó Séaghda here.
Giclée print on Hahnemühle German etching paper. This is a thick, textured fine art paper, so for best results do not roll your print back the opposite way (this can cause creasing). Leaving your print flat under a heavy book, or rolling very loosely and gently inside the packing tissue is your best bet.
Available in A4 and A3 with 1cm blank margin for framing.
